U.S. intelligence finds out why China has hidden data on coronavirus

The U.S. secret services learned that China hid the outbreak and high risk of coronavirus in early January in order to procure medicines and remedies for the disease. This was written by the Associated Press with reference to the report of the US Department of Homeland Security.

According to US intelligence, the Chinese authorities in January reduced exports and increased imports of medical products and tried to hide it, denying export restrictions and delaying the provision of their trade data.

The report also said that China did not inform the World Health Organization about the high degree of infectiousness of coronavirus for most of January in order to purchase medicines from abroad – the import of face masks, surgical gowns and gloves increased sharply during this period.
